Wing Activities Day
2358 (Ferndown) Squadron’s Cadets attended the Dorset & Wiltshire Wing Activity Day in September.
Cadet Corney had this to say “Wing activities day was a great day out with the squadron to MoD Boscome Down. We all had a part to play in at least one of the many competitive competitions whether is was drill, first aid, banner drill, initiative exercises or any other activity.
It was great fun and in-between the competitions there were more activities you could do just for some fun; there was archery, a climbing wall or learning some mountain biking skills. You could buy some food at the tuck shop or even get some candy floss. All in all it was a great day and everyone is looking forward to it next year.”
Wing Activities Day Results
I would like to express my gratitude to the Cadets that attended and supported this years Wing Activities Day, we put in a great effort, and I was really pleased with the performances of our Cadets on the day. It was great to see you coming together as a team after all the hard work you have put in as a Squadron.
This year we placed joint 17th out of the 26 Squadrons that entered
I was very impressed with the high standard of Drill, which is a testament to hours and hours on the Drill Square…well done as we placed 7th overall in Drill! also there were good performances in the First Aid & Initiative Tasks.
I’m already looking forward to next years event, let’s see if we can go one better.
