2358 (Squadron) Recruiting Policy

As you will be aware Squadron numbers are currently very healthy with some 45 cadets ‘on the books’.  However we recognise that we need to continue to recruit cadets.  A lot of recruiting is done through ‘word of mouth’ and you as cadets are responsible for many of the new cadets recruited.

This year the Squadron will operate an ‘Induction System’ when all new cadets can join on specified days during the year.  This makes life much easier for the Staff and Cadet NCOs to manage the training of the Junior Cadets as they go forward to join the Corps.

The Induction dates are:

01 February 13

05 April 13

21 June 13

02 September 13

01 November 13

Prospective recruits must be 13 on the day of the actual intake to join as Junior Cadets, although they may come to the Induction Evening if they are younger to find out more about the Squadron.

If you have friends who are interested in joining please tell them about the induction dates so they can turn up on a suitable night.  The Squadron will continue to run its annual recruiting event at Ferndown Middle School.

To give you an incentive to recruit more cadets this year, all new recruits who have been recruited by cadets will gain points for your Flight in the Inter-Flight Competition.

With immediate effect Cpls Hunt and Thomas-Hillman will take over the organising of the Induction Evenings.
