Intake Evening Postponement
Bournemouth Airshow – Cadet Attendance
AEF Flying During School Holidays
There are a number of opportunities available for Air Experience Flying (AEF) at Boscombe Down. The Squadron will need to bid for these and we will only bid if cadets can provide a definite commitment to the dates. This will need to be done rapidly as other Squadrons will bid for the places.
The dates are as follows:
18 Jul 16 4 x cadets
09 Aug 16 4 x cadets
11 Aug 16 4 x cadets
We will only bid if we have 4 definite cadets.
Cadets are to bid via stating the dates they wish to attend email to mailbox@2358atc.org.uk as soon as possible. Bidding means that you are committing to attend the flying slot.

Ex Agile Spear Joining Instructions
We have now received final instructions regarding the Exercise please read the information below CAREFULLY to ensure that you comply and therefore are able to fly during the exercise.
Ex Agile Spear
This is an Army Exercise and the Army have invited Air Cadets to play the part of civilian population who need to be transported by helicopter. The response has been very positive and 167 cadets from Dorset/Wilts Wing will be taking part in the Exercise.
Transport
Be at Squadron HQ by 0520 for an 0530 departure. As our flying will be fitted in around the exercise it is unclear when exactly we will return, but it is likely to be between mid afternoon and early evening. A member of staff will be at the HQ until cadets have been collected.
Paperwork/ID
All cadets are to ensure that they HAVE THEIR 3822 WITH THEM if you do not you will not be able to board the coach. (Those cadets mentioned in the previous post (6 in total) are to ensure they hand their TG21/23 forms to OIC on arrival.)
Mobile Phones/Cameras
Cadets are NOT allowed to take mobile phones or cameras on the Exercise. These can be left at the Sqn HQ if you wish, but you will be able to contact your parents using the Sqn phone on your return.
Clothing/Equipment
LONG SLEEVED shirt or jumper are required or a long sleeved jacket THIS IS A REQUIREMENT TO FLY and obviously trousers – no shorts or skirts. Bring a waterproof jacket as the exercise will continue regardless of the weather. Civilian clothing that you do not mind getting, dirty, boots or strong shoes. Clothing should not have any offensive logos or writing.
A day sack or old suitcase (of the carry on size no massive suitcases please!). The suitcase should be old and something that you do not mind possibly being damaged or lost.
Food & Drink
The Army have promised to feed us using ration packs. However, with such an early start it is suggested that you bring a drink and some snacks with you to keep you going until food is provided.
Discipline
Cadets are reminded that this is a military exercise and although they will be in civilian clothing the military personnel (both RAF and Army) will know that they are Air Cadets from our Wing. Therefore the highest standards of discipline and behaviour are required throughout the day and particularly during flight operations.
This is a unique opportunity to take part in a military exercise and see how the RAF and Army work together as part of the Joint Helicopter Force (JHC) in a field environment. Enjoy the day!
